Lib Dem gain in Huntingdonshire

In yesterday's by-election in the Fenstanton ward of Huntingdonshire District Council, Liberal Democrat candidate, Colin Saunderson, gained the seat with a 4.2% swing from the Conservatives.

The final result was:

O'Neill, David Michael (Conservative Party) - 337

Richards, Angela Louise (Labour Party) - 37

Saunderson, Colin Macrae (Liberal Democrat) - 391 (Elected)

That leaves Huntingdonshire with 36 Conservatives, 12 Liberal Democrats, 2 Independents and 2 Non-aligned.
